Sarver Heart Center Grand Rounds - Guest Speaker Series

Fri, 12/16/2016 - 12:00pm

SPEAKER:  Bimal Padaliya, MD
TOPIC:   A Persistent Journey of TAVI: Search for the "Perfect" TAVI Valve

Bimal Padaliya was born and raised in Coventry, England and moved to the United States with his parents in 1994.  He finished high school in South Carolina and stayed in the southeast for university and medical school.

Dr. Padaliya’s interests in cardiology first began in medical school during the time his grandmother was diagnosed with symptomatic aortic stenosis.  Her untimely passing due to complications related to valve surgery in 2005 further spurred Dr. Padaliya’s interest in less invasive approaches to approaching structural heart disease.

Dr. Padaliya completed formal training one year ago.  In addition to participating in key clinical research, Dr. Padaliya will be performing structural heart and peripheral vascular interventions at HonorHealth in Scottsdale, Arizona.
