TOPIC: "What your gastroenterologist may not tell you"
SPEAKER: Dr. Bhaskar Banerjee

Dr. Banerjee is a Professor of Medicine, Optical Sciences and Biomedical Engineering. He grew up in London and received his medical education from the University of London, England, followed by Residency and Fellowship in at the University of Connecticut where he was introduced to the diagnostic capabilities of light by an optical scientist from Tucson.  Prior to joining the University of Arizona in 2008, he was a member of the Division of Gastroenterology at Washington University in St. Louis for almost a decade and was promoted to Professor of Medicine.  Dr. Banerjee’s research is multi-disciplinary and strives to discover and create new methods and instruments to solve clinical problems in gastroenterology.
