SPEAKER: Ugis Gruntmanis, MD
Dr. Gruntmanis is a Professor, Internal Medicine and Associate Director, Internal Medicine Residency Program. He is the Founder of the High Risk Osteoporosis Service (HIROC) and the Founder of the Global Health Elective for Internal Medicine Residency at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center. Dr. Gruntmanis received his medical degree and did a residency in intensive care at the Medical Academy of Latvia. He did an internship at Yale University School of Medicine in internal Medicine, then a residency in internal medicine at the University of Rochester School of Medicine and Dentistry. Dr. Gruntmanis completed his fellowship in endocrinology and metabolism at UCLA School of Medicine. Dr. Gruntmanis has many Clinical Interests Andropause, Bone Calcium, Hypercalcemia, Hypogonadism, Male Hypogonadism, Male Osteoporosis, Osteopenia, Osteoporosis, Secondary Hypogonadism, Testicular Hypofunction and Testosterone Deficiency.
