TOPIC: Clinical Pearls in Diagnosis and Management of Atopic Dermatitis
SPEAKER: Dr. Vivian Shi

Dr. Vivian Shi is an assistant professor of medicine in the division of dermatology at UA. She is a board certified dermatologist and a fellow of the American Academy of Dermatology. Dr. Shi received her undergraduate degree in Physiological Sciences at UCLA and her medical degree at the University of Illinois at Chicago where she also completed a fellowship in the Skin Immunology Laboratory studying the role of immune dysregulation, angiogenesis and lymphangiogensis in atopic dermatitis. She then completed her internal medicine internship at the University of Chicago followed by a dermatology residency at the University of California, Davis where she also served as chief resident. Currently, she oversees the Eczema and Skin Barrier Research Program, and directs the Eczema Specialty Clinic as well as the Follicular Disorder Clinic. Her clinical and research interests focus around repairing the defects in skin's natural protective barrier and integrative approach to dermatologic managements.
