The Skin Cancer Institute at the University of Arizona Cancer Center Presents the Sixth Annual Melanoma Walk, Nov. 7

The Skin Cancer Institute at the University of Arizona Cancer Center will present the sixth annual Melanoma Walk on Saturday, Nov. 7, from 2 to 6 p.m., at the University of Arizona Cancer Center – North Campus, 3838 N. Campbell Ave., Tucson. The event opens at 2 p.m., and the walk starts at 4 p.m. The goal for Melanoma Walk 2015 is to raise $60,000 to fight melanoma.

[Crowd gathers for 2014 Melanoma Walk]The 1.5 mile walk is family- and pet-friendly and includes free skin cancer screenings by appointment, fundraising prizes and giveaways, music, a silent auction and activities for children. Proceeds from the walk support melanoma research, community outreach, education and patient care in Arizona.

Registration for Melanoma Walk 2015 is $30 for adults, $15 for children ages 6-12 and free for children under 5 years. You also may register as a “Skin Cancer Prevention Friend” (SPF) for $100; membership in the SPF Program includes one free registration and gives you the opportunity to support the Institute’s prevention and cure activities. Team leaders will receive two free passes to the Arizona-Sonora Desert Museum.
