South Campus Resident/Soon-to-Be Fellow Wins Banner BE Award

Dr. Wei Xiang Wong with Banner Health BE Award for April 2018Wei Xiang Wong, MD, a recent graduate of the University of Arizona Internal Medicine Residency Program at South Campus, was presented recently with the April 2018 BE Award by Banner – University Medicine.

The award offers recognition by the Banner Health Culture Committee for selfless actions, compassion and dedication of clinical employees and staff.

Dr. Wong, who earned his medical degree from the I.M. Sechenov First Moscow State Medical University in Russia, will start as a fellow in the UA Nephrology Fellowship Program on July 2.

In addition to his clinical service, he volunteered multiple times this past year in support of “Pathways to Success” High School Health Career Fairs and has presented at the UA College of Medicine – South Campus Scholarly Days.
