TOPIC: Infectious Diseases - HIV/AIDS Prevention: "PrEP: What is it?"  
SPEAKER: Anca Georgescu, MD and Mayar Al Mohajer, MD  

color:#333333">Dr. Georgescu graduated from the University of Medicine and Pharmacy “Carol Davila” in Bucharest, Romania and started her residency in Anesthesiology before she moved to New York and joined the Internal Medicine Residency program at St. Luke’s Roosevelt Hospital Center. She continued with the Infectious Disease fellowship at the same institution. During her training she gained experience in a large number of general infectious disease cases and took care of many patients living with HIV/AIDS. HIV/AIDS has become one of her main interests. She is currently a faculty member of the Division of Infectious Diseases at Banner University Medical Center. She also serves as the Medical Director of the Ryan White Program of the University of Arizona, a federally funded program for people living with HIV/AIDS.

color:#333333">Dr. Al Mohajer has completed his medical school at the University of Damascus, Syria.  He finished his residency in internal medicine at the University of Cincinnati and Fellowship in infectious diseases at Baylor College of Medicine.  His interests include HIV treatment and prevention (PrEP), and antibiotic stewardship.
