TOPIC: "Vitamin D: Facts and fiction"
SPEAKER: Dr. Stephen Thomson, SAVAHCS

Stephen P. Thomson, MD, is an assistant professor of medicine in the Department of Endocrinology, Diabetes and Metabolism at the Southern Arizona VA Health Care System (SAVAHCS). He is a University of Arizona alumnus, doing his residency and earning his medical degree here. He then went to Rochester, Minn., to do his endocrinology fellowship at the Mayo Clinic. Dr. Thomson is the designated education official, the clinical director for medical subspecialties and the chief of the endocrine section at SAVAHCS. Prior to joining the VA, he was the program director for the Endocrinology Fellowship at the University of Arizona for four years. Dr. Thomson is dedicated to the education of our future physicians.
