Desert Lung Disease Conference

The UA College of Medicine – Tucson and Banner – UMC have partnered to co-sponsor the inaugural Desert Lung Disease Conference, a two-day event (Friday, April 15, and Saturday, April 16) that offers up to 12 continuing medical education (CME) units for participating clinicians from across the state and beyond. Speakers from the UA Departments of Medicine, Medical Imaging, Radiation Oncology and Surgery, the UA Cancer Center and Banner – UMC Tucson and Phoenix will cover various chronic respiratory conditions that could lead to end-stage respiratory disease and lung transplantation. Hear about different treatment options clinical practitioners might consider for their patients. 

Drs. Sam Kim and Scott Lick The primary organizers are Drs. Sam Kim and Scott Lick, interim chiefs for the UA Division of Thoracic Surgery and Division of Cardiothoracic Surgery respectively.

Fees are $150 for physicians and $75 for mid-level clinicians (PAs, NPs, RNs) through March 31 ($200 for physicians and $100 for mid-level clinicians after). Residents and fellows attend free.
