Speaker:  Franz Rischard, DO from the University of Arizona College of Medicine
Topic:  Right ventricular adaptation to pulmonary vascular disease: Can models of left ventricular function be applied?

Franz Rischard, DO received his undergraduate education from the University of Idaho and obtained his Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine from Western University of Health Sciences in Pomona, CA. He then completed his internship, residency and Pulmonary/Critical Care Fellowship at the University of Arizona.  After fellowship he became a partner at Catalina Chest Clinic for four years. In 2010 Dr. Rischard returned to the University of Arizona to join our Pulmonary, Allergy, Critical Care & Sleep Program. He is the Director for the Pulmonary Hypertension Program and conducts many clinical trials in including three that are NIH sponsored. Dr. Rischard is known internationally for his involvement in Pulmonary Hypertension and has been invited to speak about his research in Pulmonary Hypertension a number of times.
