SPEAKER: Lily Q. Dong, PhD; Professor, Department of Cell Systems & Anatomy, & Department of Pharmacology, University of Texas Health San Antonio (UTHSA). Dr. Dong has devoted her research career to studying the fundamental mechanisms underlying insulin resistance and its related diseases including obesity and type 2 diabetes with special emphasis on adiponectin signaling and the cross talk between adiponectin and insulin signal pathways.
