Endocrinology, Diabetes & Metabolism Grand Rounds

SPEAKER: Nicolas Musi, M.D. Tenured Professor of Medicine (Division of Diabetes and Division of Geriatrics and Gerontology) and Director of the Barshop Institute for Longevity and Aging Studies at University of Texas Health Science Center (UTHSCSA), San Antonio, TX.

Dr. Musi received his clinical training in Internal Medicine at the University of Miami-Jackson Memorial Medical Center. He then completed a clinical and research fellowship in Endocrinology and Metabolism at the Joslin Diabetes Center of Harvard Medical School in 2001, after which he joined the Harvard faculty. In 2003 he moved to The University of Texas Health Science Center (UTHSCSA)

His research combines clinical research, animal, and cell culture approaches to tackle questions related to the molecular biology of insulin resistance and sarcopenia in diabetes and aging.
