About Dr. Parthasarathy

Sairam “Sai” Parthasarathy, MD, is Interim Chief for the Division of Pulmonary, Allergy, Critical Care and Sleep Medicine, director of the University of Arizona Center for Sleep Disorders, professor of medicine and program director of the UA Sleep Medicine Fellowship Program in the UA College of Medicine – Tucson. He is board-certified in sleep medicine, internal medicine, pulmonary medicine and critical care medicine and is a Diplomate of the American Board of Sleep Medicine. He is a member of the American Thoracic Society and the Sleep Research Society, a member of the advisory board of the Sleep Disorders Research division of the National Institutes of Health (NIH), chair of the grant review committee for the American Sleep Medicine Foundation, associate editor of the Journal of Clinical Sleep Medicine, and serves on the advisory panel of the UA Respiratory Disease Committee. Additionally, he serves on the steering committee for ADVENT (Advanced Ear Nose and Throat), on the editorial board for the American College of Chest Physicians CHEST SEEK Sleep Medicine edition, and is chair of the Data and Safety Monitoring Board, an independent group of experts that advises research investigators. He also serves on the Obstructive Sleep Apnea (OSA) and Bariatric Surgery committees of the NIH. He currently holds grants from the NIH and the Patient-Centered Outcomes Research Institute (PCORI).
