TOPIC: Benign Biliary Tract Disorder and the Role of Endoscopy
SPEAKER: Dr. Oleh Haluszka
Dr. Haluszka is a graduate of the Uniformed Services Medical School who then did his internal medicine and GI fellowship training at the US Naval Hospital in San Diego.  Having developed an interest in Therapeutic Endoscopy he did additional fellowship training at the Medical College of Wisconsin. He was recruited to the University of Maryland Medical System as Director of Endoscopy from the Navy, which he left with the rank of Captain. His subsequent academic career lead him from Maryland to Philadelphia to develop a therapeutic endoscopy program at Fox Chase Cancer Center, and ultimately to become Chief of Gastroenterology and Professor of Medicine of the Temple University Medical School.  Accepting the challenge of rebuilding a once vibrant GI program at the Tucson VA Hospital he came to Tucson in July 2016 to become Chief of GI there and Clinical Professor of Medicine for the University of Arizona.
