TOPIC: Zika Virus: An Emerging Infection
SPEAKER: Dr. Jacques Simkins-Cohen
Dr. Simkins-Cohen was born and raised in Venezuela. He went to Medical School in Caracas, Venezuela where he graduated with honors. He did his internal medicine residency at the University of Miami/Jackson Memorial Medical Center and my infectious diseases fellowship at the Albert Einstein College of Medicine/Montefiore Medical Center. He is currently an Assistant Professor at the University of Miami School of Medicine for the Division of infectious diseases. He works mainly as a transplant ID doctor. he has had around 30 peer-reviewed publications and was appointed Ad-hoc reviewer for several journals such as American Journal of Transplantation, Transplantation, Transplant International and Transplant Infectious Disease.
