About the Speaker
Stephen P. Thomson, MD is an Assistant Professor of Medicine in the Department of Endocrinology, Diabetes and Metabolism at the Southern Arizona VA Health Care System. Dr. Thomson is an alumnus of the University of Arizona. He received his medical degree and did his residency here.  He then went to Rochester, Minnesota to do his endocrinology fellowship at the Mayo Clinic. Dr. Thomson is the Designated Education Official, the Clinical Director for Medical Subspecialties and the Chief of the Endocrine section at SAVAHCS. Prior to going to the VA, he was the Program Director for the Endocrinology Fellowship at the University of Arizona for four years. Dr. Thomson is dedicated to the education of our future physicians.
