Michael M.I. Abecassis, MD, MBA, the Iovanna C. Lopez Dean of the University of Arizona College of Medicine – Tucson, announced Dec. 15 that Stephen Dahmer, MD, has accepted the position as director at the college’s Andrew Weil Center for Integrative Medicine, effective March 1, 2024.
Marvin J. Slepian, MD, Regents Professor of medicine, medical imaging and surgery at the University of Arizona College of Medicine – Tucson and biomedical engineering at the University of Arizona College of Engineering, has been appointed to the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office’s Patent Public Advisory Committee. His three-year term started Dec. 1 and lasts until Dec. 1, 2026.
