Jerome Lowenstein, MD, is a nephrologist in New York City and is affiliated with multiple hospitals in the area, including NYC Health and Hospitals/Bellevue and NYU Langone Medical Center. He received his medical degree from NYU School of Medicine and completed his residency and fellowship training at NYU Langone Medical Center, where he was also a chief resident. Conditions and treatments he focuses on include glomerular disease, glomerulonephritis, renovascular, high blood pressure disorder and primary care. He also is founding publisher of the Bellevue Literary Press, which published its first title, Galileo's Gout, a decade ago. The press was an outgrowth of the Bellevue Literary Review, for which Dr. Lowenstein served as non-fiction editor since it began in 2000.
