Celebrate Genetics in Medicine on International Mendel Day

Join us for a SPECIAL EVENT hosted by Drs. Christina Laukaitis and Robert C. Karn with support of the UA Health Sciences' Center for Applied Genetics and Genomic Medicine (TCAG2M).

Light refreshments will be served at the 2nd annual celebration honoring the work of Gregor Mendel, an Augustinian friar and scientist considered the father of genetics. The program will include a podcast of the unveiling at the Brno Mendelianum of the completed brass bust of Mendel started at the 2016 Tucson Mendel Day as well as a discussion of Mendel’s contributions as the first modern biologist.
