Alexis Koskan, PhD,
Assistant Professor of Public Health,
Arizona State University, College of Health Sciences

A public health and health communication researcher by training, Dr. Koskan is an assistant professor of public health at Arizona State University’s College of Health Solutions. At the heart of her teaching, research and service is working with communities to eliminate cancer disparities and increase access to care. Her program of research focuses on primary and secondary prevention of HPV-related cancers and on increasing cancer screening among HIV-infected gay and bisexual men. She is currently applying for a grant to conduct an intervention aimed at increasing anal cancer screening among HIV-infected populations. Her work also focuses on the uptake and completion of the 9-valent HPV vaccine series among age-eligible youth. Dr. Koskan is working to reduce missed opportunities to promote and administer the HPV vaccine with various health professionals.
