Gail Emrick, MPH
Gail Emrick is the Executive Director of the Southeast Arizona Area Health Education Center (SEAHEC), a health education, advocacy and workforce development agency serving rural and border communities and health service agencies in southern Arizona and the U.S. Mexico border region. She also serves as Adjunct Faculty of the University of Arizona, College of Public Health, is a member of the U.S.-Mexico Ambos Nogales Binational Health Council and the Arizona Sonora Migrant Care Coalition.

Amy Pacheco Mata, BS
Amy Pacheco Mata is a dedicated Migrant Healthcare Coordinator for the SEAHEC-Casa Alitas Migrant Healthcare Coordination Program, leveraging her role as a Community Health Worker to bridge gaps in healthcare access. With a Bachelor of Science emphasizing Dietetics, Amy embodies a passion for holistic health solutions. Her journey is guided by a deep-rooted commitment to improving healthcare accessibility for migrant populations. Amy's current focus involves advocating for and coordinating healthcare services for migrants who arrive from various countries at Casa Alitas Migrant Shelter, emphasizing empathy, cultural sensitivity, and community engagement. Her experiences have solidified her dedication to addressing the unique health challenges faced by migrant communities. Driven by a vision to expand her impact, she aspires to become a healthcare provider, envisioning a future where she can serve in rural areas across diverse countries. Her ultimate goal is to contribute her skills and knowledge to underserved regions, advocating for equitable healthcare access for all.
