Presenter: Stuart F. Quan, MD, is a Professor Emeritus of Medicine at the University of Arizona College of Medicine – Tucson where he previously was Division of Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine chief as well as a Department of Medicine associate head, General Clinical Research Center program director and Sleep Disorders Center director. He's currently involved in clinical teaching within the Division of Pulmonary, Allergy, Critical Care and Sleep Medicine and participating in research at the UArizona Heatlh Sciences Center for Sleep, Circadian and Neuroscience Research. In addition, he’s a senior physician in the Division of Sleep and Circadian Disorders at Brigham and Women’s Hospital and the Gerald E. McGinnis Professor of Sleep Medicine at Harvard Medical School. He’s also an adjunct faculty member in Phoenix’s Arizona State University College of Nursing and Health Innovation. Dr. Quan was the founding editor-in-chief of the Journal of Clinical Sleep Medicine and is the initial recipient of an editorial excellence award named in his honor there. He also has served as the president of the American Academy of Sleep Medicine, a board director of the American Board of Sleep Medicine, a member of the Residency Review Committee for Internal Medicine of the Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education, and chair of the Sleep Medicine exam committee for the American Board of Internal Medicine.
