Six physicians from the UA Department of Medicine are among those clinicians and staff featured in videos developed by Banner Health to celebrate diversity and inclusion.
The videos include a 1:28 minute spot and a shorter one at 0:43 seconds. Click on the images below to view.
In the longer video, you hear comments on the value of having a diverse staff from Banner Health CEO Peter Fine, Francisco Moreno, MD, assistant vice president for Diversity & Inclusion at the UA Health Sciences, and Sonji Muhammad, assistant director of Diversity & Inclusion at the UA College of Medicine – Phoenix. This video (below) pictures Elizabeth Connick, MD, chief, Division of Infectious Diseases, and Tammy Ojo, MD, DOM vice chair for clinical affairs and director, Adult Cystic Fibrosis Program, in a section introducing the three pillars of Banner’s diversity policy — reputation, representation and retention.
“Our reputation represents a culture of belonging that welcomes the communities we serve,” Dr. Moreno (in top right square above) says in the video.
Also featured are endocrinologist Karen Herbst, MD, PhD, director, Treatment, Research and Education of Adipose Tissue (TREAT) Program, and John Po, MD, PhD, director, Infectious Diseases Fellowship Program.
Featured in the shorter video (on left, below) are Drs. Connick, Herbst and Po as well as:

The videos are largely for internal promotional efforts among Banner Health staff regarding diversity issues.
