Latest UA Cancer Center Hero Awards Goes to Miranti, Dendler

Two winners were named Aug. 11 for the Hero Awards at the University of Arizona Cancer Center.

The awards were presented by center director Andrew S. Kraft, MD, in Kiewit Auditorium.

Inaugural winners of the Hero Award in 2016 were Tracy Crane, PhD, member, UACC Behavioral Measurment Shared Resource Advisory Board, and assistant professor, UA College of Nursing, and Diane Rensvold, RN, senior research nurse, clinical trials.

The UACC Hero Award plaqueThe UACC Hero Award was created to recognize and honor exceptional dedication and outstanding contributions by an individual working in the UA Cancer Center. It’s focused on work that promotes and improves research and its associated processes. It will be given as often as appropriate nominations are submitted. All awardees are recognized on a plaque to be displayed publicly at the center and also are presented with a personal award with a $70 gift to the individual.
