Sarver Heart Center OLLI Lecture Series: ‘Exercise for Cardiac Rehabilitation Post-Heart Attack’

The Sarver Heart Center lecture series at the University of Arizona Osher Lifelong Learning Institute will continue in 2024 with a four-part lecture series in March and April. The lectures  take place on Fridays from 11:00 a.m. until 12:30 p.m. between March 22 and April 12.

[Social media promotion image for Sarver Heart Center OLLI Lecture Series event on April 12, 2024, with Talal Moukabary, MD]On Friday, April 12th, Talal Moukabary, MD—an electrophysiologist and expert in computer modeling of cardiac arrhythmia, cell-based arrhythmia therapy, and clinical cardiac electrophysiology—will present on exercise for cardiovascular rehabilitation after an acute cardiac event or heart attack. Dr. Moukabary will present for roughly 60 minutes, followed by an opportunity for Q&A.

  • Friday, March 29th at 11:00 a.m.: “Mindful Heart Health” with Elizabeth Juneman, MD, Sheila Kressler, and Lara Bianco
    ○ This class will include an informational presentation, guided heart-centered meditation, and chair yoga class
  • Friday, April 5th at 11:00 a.m.: “Coronary Artery Disease” with Sharanyah Srinivasan, MBBS
  • Friday, April 12th at 11:00 a.m.: “Exercise for Cardiac Rehabilitation Post-Heart Attack” with Talal Moukabary, MD
