Jeffrey Krase, MD, PharmD, and Marilyn Wickenheiser, MD—both currently third-year residents in the University of Arizona Advanced Dermatology Residency Program—will share chief resident duties for the coming academic year.
In the UA Division of Dermatology, which runs the residency program, residents serve an intern year in a specialty outside of dermatology to broaden their training experience. Dermatology chief residents also serve in six-month terms.
Dr. Krase’s term as chief resident begins June 1. He earned his doctor of pharmacy degree in 2006 from the UA College of Pharmacy, followed by his medical degree from the UA College of Medicine – Tucson in 2015. His internship was with the UA Department of Surgery (2015-16).
Dr. Wickenheiser’s term as chief resident begins Dec. 1. She earned her medical degree from Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland, Ohio, where she also completed her internship in internal medicine at MetroHealth.
Colleen Cotton, MD, served as chief resident for the Advanced Dermatology Residency Program for all of the 2017-18 academic year. She graduates this month along with three other residents in the program.

Most general dermatology clinical operations—other than Mohs surgery and UA Skin Cancer Institute activities—will be consolidated in June at a new location (right) at 7165 N. Pima Canyon Drive (where it intersects with Ina Road and Skyline Drive) as of early June.
An in-house grand opening is planned for June. Look for more detailed information on that later.
