TUCSON, Ariz. – Since 2007, the BIO5 Institute has provided a unique, seven-week summer research opportunity to almost 500 outstanding Arizona high school students to date. Despite COVID-19, this summer won’t be any different.

TUCSON, Ariz. – As part of its plan to bring students and employees back to campus in the fall, the University of Arizona is preparing to offer the opt-in Covid Watch smartphone app, so that campus community members can notify each other anonymously if they may have been exposed to COVID-19. Arizona is the first state to start testing of the app, which began this week.
TUCSON, Ariz. – The Arizona Board of Regents today confirmed the appointments of University of Arizona faculty members Drs. Roberta Diaz Brinton, Judith Brown, Peter Chesson, Jeff Greenberg and Connie Woodhouse as Regents Professors.
The title of Regents Professor is reserved for full professors whose exceptional achievements merit national and international distinction. Regents Professor appointments are limited to no more than 3% of the total number of the university’s tenured and tenure-track faculty members.
