Banner – University Medicine in Tucson celebrated 2017 National Hospital Week—May 7-13—with a picnic meal for physicians in staff.
Burgers, hot dogs, chips, cookies and sodas were available for all three shifts at Banner – University Medical Center Tucson (on May 10) and Banner – UMC South (May 12) and a lunch was held at the UA Cancer Center’s Peter and Paula Fasseas Cancer Clinic at north campus (May 13).
The University of Arizona Department of Surgery and Banner – University Medical Center recently welcomed several new surgeons to Tucson. All are members of Banner – University Medical Group, the practice plan composed of faculty physicians of the UA College of Medicine – Tucson.

Arizona is home to 10,000 actively licensed massage therapists, each of whom averages 12 clients per week or roughly 7,000 client encounters a year. What if in addition to soothing cramped muscles those massage therapists could be enlisted and trained to help reduce skin cancer risk?

The University of Arizona Department of Medicine earlier this month launched a Facebook webpage to expand its social media presence, adding to the Twitter account that the department has had since 2014.
