Brian Stauffer, M.D., Associate Professor of Medicine, University of Colorado, presents Aging and Heart Failure: What Can We Learn from Children?"

Dr. Stauffer completed medical school at Pennsylvania State University in Hershey, followed by Medicine at University Hospital of Cleveland and Cardiology at the University of Colorado. His research training was in Cardiovascular Physiology with Russell Moore, PhD and Molecular Cardiology with Leslie Leinwand, PhD.  Dr. Stauffer’s clinical time is currently spent at Denver Health Medical Center. He has been the Medical Director of the Integrative Vascular Biology Laboratory at the University of Colorado at Boulder since 2000 where he holds an adjunct appointment in Integrative Physiology. Since joining the Department of Medicine faculty at the University of Colorado in 2005, his laboratory has been funded by the AHA, NIH, State of Colorado and Industry to investigate the influence of age and sex on the molecular mechanisms of heart failure and develop animal models of pediatric cardiovascular disease.
