Petersen HIV Clinics Meet-Your-Pharmacist Event

The Petersen HIV Clinics pharmacy team will provide a brief presentation and Q&A about new and future treatments for human immunodeficiency virus (HIV) and AIDS at the Leon Levy Cancer Center building, located in front of the Banner – University Medical Center Tucson hospital.

This is part of an event series directed primarily at current and prospective patients. Learn tips for medication success. You’ll have direct access for medication questions in a confidential setting.

The Petersen HIV Clinics at the University of Arizona have been providing comprehensive care for HIV/AIDS patients in southern Arizona for more than 30 years. They are funded by the U.S. Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA) through the Ryan White HIV/AIDS Program. With the support of the Ryan White Program, all eligible HIV-positive patients can receive primary care at reduced or no cost.

The UA Petersen HIV Clinics, while operating at Banner – UMC Tucson and South hospitals, are part of the University of Arizona Division of Infectious Diseases. The division also runs the Arizona AIDS Education & Training Center, which is funded by HRSA grants as well and is focused on providing health care professionals with the knowledge and skills necessary to offer outstanding care to people living with HIV and AIDS.
