SPEAKER:  Jorge Escobedo, MD 
TOPIC: "Cardiovascular Diseases in Mexico: Occurrence, Research and Future."

Jorge Escobedo, MD, obtained his MD degree at the National Autonomous University of Mexico. He has been certified as specialist in Internal Medicine and Infectology. He obtained his MPH degree at the School of Public Health of Mexico and his MSc degree at the National Institute of Public Health. He was a postdoctoral Fellow in the Department of Internal Medicine (Endocrinology), at the Yale University School of Medicine.

Dr. Escobedo is currently Head of the Clinical Research Center at the Regional Hospital No. 1 in Mexico City, and professor of Internal Medicine. He is working now on research projects with Mayo Clinic, the Canadian VIGOUR Centre, the University of Louisville, the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai and the University of Toronto.
