Light refreshments will be served at the 2nd annual celebration honoring the work of Gregor Mendel, an Augustinian friar and scientist considered the father of genetics. The program will include a podcast of the unveiling at the Brno Mendelianum of the completed brass bust of Mendel started at the 2016 Tucson Mendel Day as well as a discussion of Mendel’s contributions as the first modern biologist.
