The Advances in Aging Lecture Series is hosted by the University of Arizona Center on Aging Geriatric Workforce Enhancement Program in conjunction with the Division of Geriatrics, General Internal Medicine and Palliative Medicine, Department of Medicine, UA College of Medicine - Tucson. Objectives:

  1. Differentiate racial health disparities from health differences.
  2. List the modifiable risk factors for Alzheimer’s disease.
  3. Discuss which risk factors best help to explain racial disparities in cognitive aging, and opportunities for intervention.

Target Audience: Physicians, nurses, social workers, other health-care professionals and interested community members
