BIO5 Inspiring Women in STEM
Are you a Woman in STEM researcher? Do you have questions or concerns about being a woman in STEM? Would you like to learn from women who have distinguished themselves in the STEM field?
An interactive panel of inspiring women from crossdisciplinary STEM fields will share their unique journeys. The panelists will be representative of different career stages to offer the broadest perspective possible. Following the panel discussion there will be a one-on-one networking session with panelists providing attendees with an opportunity to gain further insight. This event is open to local community members, high school students, and the UA community at large, and is designed to inspire women in their pursuit of a STEM education and/or career.
KEYNOTE SPEAKER: Dr. Jil Tardiff, professor, UA Division of Cardiology, Department of Medicine, and Department of Cellular and Molecular Medicine; associate chair for research, Department of Medicine; member, UA Sarver Heart Center and UA BIO5 Institute; and the Steven M. Gootter Endowed Chair for the Prevention of Sudden Cardiac Death at the University of Arizona.
