About the Speaker:
Anita Koshy, MD is an Associate Professor in the Department of Neurology and in the Department of Immunobiology at the University of Arizona. Her clinical and research interests led her to specialize in the area of Neuro-Infectious Diseases. She came to the University of Arizona in 2012 after a postdoctoral fellowship in molecular parasitology. The Koshy lab seeks to define the mechanisms that allow Toxoplasma gondii, a common intracellular parasite, to persist in the central nervous system (CNS).
