Innovative Approaches to Medicine: Medical Ethics - CME Lecture, Sept. 28
Hosted by the College of Medicine - Tucson

Some ethical problems are fairly straightforward, such as determining right from wrong. But others can also be more perplexing, such as deciding between two "rights"—two values that are in conflict with each other—or deciding between two different value systems.

Medical Ethics is the subject of a College of Medicine – Tucson lecture on Saturday, Sept. 28 from 12:30 – 3:30 p.m. in the Health Sciences Innovation Building. Karen Spear-Ellinwood, PhD, JD, EdS, Arthur B. Sanders, MD, MSHA, FACEP, FACP, and Richard A. Wahl, MD, will give an overview of the topic of medical ethics and present cases that have come into the public eye.  Audience members will also be encouraged to present their own cases of interest for panel commentary.

There is no cost for the 2 CME credit program, but registration is required. Please R.S.V.P. by Sept. 26.  Lunch will be served beginning at 12:30 p.m. with the lecture scheduled to run from 1 – 3:15 p.m.  Limited parking is available in Lot Specific 2012 parking lot next to the Health Sciences Innovation Building and the Health Sciences Garage (formerly the Banner – University Medical Center Tucson Visitor Parking Garage) at 1501 N. Campbell Ave.

The University of Arizona College of Medicine – Tucson designates this live activity for a maximum of 2.0 AMA PRA Category 1 Credit(s)™. Physicians should claim only the credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity.
