About the Speaker
Dr. Rapcsak is Professor of Neurology and member of the academic faculty at the University of Arizona and the Banner Alzheimer's Institute in Tucson, Arizona. He is a behavioral neurologist who specializes in the clinical diagnosis and treatment of patients with cognitive impairment due to focal brain lesions and neurodegenerative disorders such as Alzheimer’s disease and other forms of dementia. His research combines neuropsychological assessment and brain imaging techniques to investigate the cognitive mechanisms and neural substrates of memory and language.
