Presenter:  Shreyasee Amin, MD CM, FRCP(C), MPH
Title:  Novel Risks for Bone Loss and Fractures

Shreyasee Amin, M.D. C.M., M.P.H., is a consultant in the Division of Rheumatology in the Department of Internal Medicine at Mayo Clinic. She holds a joint appointment in the Division of Epidemiology in the Department of Health Sciences Research. She is Research Chair for the Division of Rheumatology.

Dr. Amin received her M.D. C.M. degree from McGill University and her M.P.H. degree in epidemiology and biostatistics from Boston University. She completed a comprehensive medicine internship and an internal medicine residency at the University of Western Ontario. Her further training includes completing a residency in rheumatology at the University of Toronto and a research fellowship at Boston University where she worked with the Framingham Study examining risk factors for bone loss and fractures in men.

She is co-principal investigator and co-investigator on research grants funded by the National Institutes of Health studying the epidemiology and risk factors of bone loss and fractures.
