Saif Mashaqi, MD
Saif A. Mashaqi, MD, joined the faculty of the University of Arizona College of Medicine – Tucson in September 2019 as an associate professor of medicine in the Division of Pulmonary, Allergy, Critical Care and Sleep Medicine, one of 14 divisions in the Department of Medicine which is the largest department at the UA College of Medicine. Previously, he was an assistant and associate professor of medicine at the University of North Dakota School of Medicine and Health Sciences in Grand Forks, N.D., and the medical director of the Sanford Sleep Center in Jamestown, N.D. He has been a fellow member of the American Academy of Sleep Medicine (FAASM) and the American College of Chest Physicians (FCCP). He completed his sleep medicine and critical care fellowships at the Cleveland Clinic in Cleveland, Ohio. He did his internal medicine residency and pulmonary diseases fellowship at Marshall University School of Medicine in Huntington, W.V. Dr. Mashaqi grew up in Amman, Jordan, and earned his MBBS degree in medicine from University of Jordan School of Medicine. He moved to the United States in 2006.
