Meenakshi Dagar, MD

Dr. Dagar was born in Delhi, India. She lived in several different states all over India which heightened her interest in different cultures and traveling.  Her inquisitive nature led her to become very passionate in the field of science which ultimately led to her choosing a career in Medicine. Dr. Dagar attended Sikkim Manipal Institute of Medical Sciences in India.  Dr. Dagar finished her Residency in Internal Medical with St. Agnes Hospital, Baltimore Maryland. After Finishing her Residency, she worked as an academic primary care physician in Tucson, Arizona.  She actively worked alongside Internal Medicine residents and medical students. She has received several out-patient attending of the year awards. Over the course of her time in Tucson, Dr. Dagar noticed an increasing need for geriatric specialist to accommodate and better serve the older adult population. She recently finished her geriatric fellowship from Harvard. Her key interests lie in preventative medicine, bioethics, advanced care planning, medical education, and cost-effective care for the patients. During her free time Dr. Dagar enjoys spending time with her kids, hiking, playing with her cat, traveling, and trying new cuisines. Her ultimate dream, which is her driving force, is to continue teaching and caring for her students and patients as if they’re family.
