Drs. Merri Pendergrass, Joel Ehrenkranz, Frank "Chip" Brosius, Elizabeth Juneman

Merri Pendergrass, MD, PhD- Dr. Pendergrass is Professor of Medicine and Clinical Chief of Endocrinology at the University of Arizona College of Medicine in Tucson, AZ. 
Joel Ehrenkranz, MD- Joel Ehrenkranz MD, a 1977 graduate of Stanford Medical School, is an associate professor of endocrinology at the University of Colorado and serial biotech entrepreneur.  Dr. Ehrenkranz conducted the first clinical studies to understand SGLTi effects on glucose metabolism and, in 2002, received a US patent for the use of SGLTi in the treatment of diabetes and obesity.  He recently moved to Tucson and, in addition to continuing his biotech research and development activities, will be joining the staff of Tucson Medical Center.
Frank “Chip” Brosius, MD- Dr. Brosius is a Professor of Medicine within the division of Nephrology at the Department of Medicine.
Elizabeth Juneman, MD- Elizabeth Juneman, MD, joined the faculty at the University of Arizona College of Medicine - Tucson in 2007, working at the Southern Arizona VA Health Care System (SAVAHCS Tucson VA) from 2007-2015. During that time, she served as director of the Heart Failure Program and director of the Echocardiography Laboratory at SAVAHCS.  She joined Banner – University Medical Center Tucson in early 2015.  Dr. Juneman is an associate professor of medicine in the Division of Cardiology, which is part of the Department of Medicine in the UArizona College of Medicine - Tucson.  She currently serves as the medical director of Advanced Heart Failure and Transplantation. She has been a member of the Sarver Heart Center since 2004.
