"Cardiovascular disease in young women: sex-specific risk factors"
Jennifer Lewey, MD, MPH

Dr. Lewey is a non-invasive cardiologist and director of the Women's Cardiovascular Health Program at the University of Pennsylvania School of Medicine. She is co-director of the Penn Pregnancy and Heart Disease Program and helped to start a “cardio-obstetrics” clinic for high-risk women who are pregnant or considering pregnancy. She completed her med-peds residency at Brigham and Women's Hospital and Boston Children’s Hospital in Boston, her cardiology fellowship at Columbia University Medical Center, and her MPH at the T.H. Chan School of Public Health. Her research is focused on optimizing CV care and reducing CV disparities among women during pregnancy and the postpartum period. Her current K23 funding is focused on identifying novel behavior interventions to promote CV health in postpartum women with pregnancy complications.
