Dr. Madhan Sundaram

Dr. Madhan Sundaram is the Director of Cardiac Catheterization Lab and Endovascular Services at the Banner University Medical Center, Tucson. He is an interventional cardiologist and faculty member with the section of cardiology at the University of Arizona Sarver Heart Center. He sees patients at Banner University Medical Center Tucson, north campus clinic. He is the associate program director for cardiovascular disease and interventional cardiology fellowships at the University of Arizona. Dr. Sundaram earned his medical degree at the P.S.G. Institute of Medical Sciences and Research in India.  He completed his residency in internal medicine at the University of Arizona and was selected to be the chief medical resident. Following that, he completed a fellowship in cardiovascular disease at the University of Arizona where he also served as the chief cardiology fellow.  He then completed his fellowship in interventional cardiology at the University of Kentucky where he spent an additional year specializing in peripheral vascular disease and structural heart disease interventions. He is board certified in interventional cardiology, cardiovascular disease, echocardiography, and internal medicine. He is a Fellow of the American College of Cardiology (FACC) and Fellow of Society of Cardiovascular Angiography and Interventions (FSCAI). His clinical interests include complex coronary interventions, chronic total occlusions, endovascular peripheral interventions, interventions for acute pulmonary embolism and structural heart disease interventions.
