[Portrait of a white man with short brown hair and a beard wearing a button up shirt.] Jason Kirby, DO, MBA, FASAMDr. Jason Kirby, DO, MBA, FASAM is a board-certified Addiction Medicine specialist, recovery champion, and behavioral expert and is currently Chief Medical Officer of Landmark Recovery, a national drug and alcohol residential treatment organization based in Franklin, TN. Certified by the American Board of Preventive Medicine, he has treated thousands of patients in his career struggling from a variety of substance use disorders. Dr. Kirby is the clinical leader and is responsible for the development of Landmark's policies and procedures governing evidence-based and harm reduction practices as well as liaison for all regulatory matters. He also serves in leadership in the American Society of Addiction Medicine as President of the Tennessee Chapter of ASAM. Recently, he coauthored portions of the 4th edition of ASAM's Criteria, which is scheduled to be published this fall.

  • Identify substance use disorders as "equal opportunity life destroyer"
  • Discuss the treatment of physicians with process addictions
  • Introduce Physician Health Programs and discuss regulatory processes for safety sensitive occupational patients
  • Identify community and state resources to aid in the successful return to work for physicians in recovery
