Join us for a virtual information session on the University of Arizona Graduate Interdisciplinary Innovations in Aging online programs developed in affiliation with the Arizona Center on Aging. This session will cover careers in aging as well as an overview curriculum, admissions requirements and the application process. This event is designed to benefit those interested in the field of aging and enrollment in our graduate master’s and certificate programs.

Christine Childers, PT, PhD
Founding Director, Doctor of Physical Therapy Program
University of Arizona Health Sciences
Dr. Childers is the founding program director for the Doctor of Physical Therapy program. She has worked extensively for the Federation of State boards of physical therapy, conducts site visits for re-accreditation as well as candidacy for the accrediting body of the American Physical Therapy Association, and served on the geriatric specialty council for the American Board of Physical Therapy Specialists. Dr. Childers is also the director of the Advanced Competency in Home health certification for the Home Health academy of the American Physical Therapy Association.
Dr. Childers trained as a physiotherapist at the University of East Anglia in her native UK. She holds a Master of Science in gerontology, a doctorate in health psychology and she is board certified in gerontology.
