The Department of Medicine’s Diversity, Equity & Inclusion Committee will be hosting a DEI Mixer on Monday, Nov. 4, 2024, 4-7 p.m.
With food & beverages!
To be held in the HSIB Forum, the event will include a tour of the Arizona Simulation Technology & Education Center, also known as ASTEC (space is limited so register at RSVP soon), as well as a presentation by Francisco Moreno, MD, a University of Arizona College of Medicine – Tucson professor of psychiatry and associate vice president, U of A Health Sciences Office of Equity, Diversity and Inclusion. Also present will be Celia Valenzuela, MD, an associate professor of obstetrics and gynecology and vice dean, College of Medicine – Tucson Office of Diversity, Equity & Inclusion.
Additional comments will be made by Christian Bime, MD, MSc, DOM vice chair for DEI, associate professor in the Division of Pulmonary, Allergy, Critical Care & Sleep Medicine, and director, Medical Intensive Care Unit, Banner – University Medicine Tucson, and Bijin Thajudeen, MD, FASN, MACP, DOM DEI champion and professor in the Division of Nephrology.
This event is approved for 2.0 DEI credits by the College of Medicine – Tucson DEI Office.
