Overview
This annual alumni homecoming continuing medical education (CME) event will feature three esteemed University of Arizona College of Medicine-Tucson faculty presenting on the latest advances in the fields of integrative medicine, general surgery, and the dermatology of aging.

Objectives
At the conclusion of this activity, learners will be able to:

  1. Counsel older adults who are considering surgery regarding the differences between adult vs. younger adult physiology, in particular regarding the implications of peri-operative management.
  2. Diagnose skin diseases in older adults with greater frequency and proficiency.
  3. Counsel patients utilizing a healing-oriented approach to medicine that considers the entire person, encompassing all aspects of lifestyle.
  4. Employ integrative self-care approaches into busy clinical practice.
  5. Combine wellness and healing-oriented medicine with allopathic approaches in clinical encounters.

Accreditation
The University of Arizona College of Medicine – Tucson is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education to provide continuing medical education for physicians.
