Responsible Conduct of Research (RCR) Workshop: ‘Managing competing interests in research’

Wed, 01/29/2025 - 9:00am to 10:30am

This offering is hosted by Research, Innovation & Impact, for questions please contact Research-Training@arizona.edu or visit us online at https://research.arizona.edu/research-compliance/rcr. This Responsible Conduct of Research (RCR) workshop provides an overview of the University's conflict of interest policy, why it matters, and how it applies to UA researchers, including students. Workshop participants will learn the criteria for determining whether or not someone qualifies as an Investigator under the University's COI policy, what counts as a significant conflict of interest, and the processes for disclosing and managing those interests. SPECIAL NOTE: The University of Arizona has separate Conflict of Interest training requirements that are NOT satisfied by this workshop. For more information, please visit https://rgw.arizona.edu/compliance/conflict-interest-program. This workshop counts as one elective toward the NSF and NIH Responsible Conduct of Research Certificates.
