About the Presenter
Dr. Amaraneni joined the faculty at the University of Arizona College of Medicine – Tucson in 2021. He earned two undergraduate degrees (biology and management) from the Georgia Institute of Technology (Georgia Tech) in Atlanta and his medical degree from St. George’s University School of Medicine in Grenada. He completed his internal medicine residency training at Western Michigan University in Kalamazoo and did his hematology and oncology fellowship at the U of A College of Medicine – Tucson and the U of A Cancer Center, serving as chief fellow in 2018-19. He worked as a hospitalist at Arizona Inpatient Medicine Associates and oncologist at the Oncology Institute of Hope & Innovation after his fellowship. A Cancer Center member, Dr. Amaraneni currently serves as hematology and oncology fellowship program director and director of the U of A Hemostasis & Thrombosis Center.
