New signage was put in place Jan. 31 to recognize the renaming of the University of Arizona Liver Research Institute last year in recognition of its founding director as the Thomas D. Boyer Liver Institute. Dr. Boyer, a former UA Department of Medicine chair who passed away three weeks earlier, was notified of the honor at his retirement party last summer.
